Communication

As an attentive listener, I focus on what my clients are saying. I engage fully and strive to understand rather than respond. By using open-ended questions and reflecting on their thoughts, I empathize with my clients and acknowledge their emotions and the obstacles they face. I am intentional in my efforts to care for their well-being, providing constructive feedback and affirming their progress. I celebrate every accomplishment, no matter how small, and assist my clients in setting achievable goals by breaking them down into smaller steps. We collaborate to create a plan that will help them achieve their goals. Throughout their journey, I motivate them through motivational interviewing techniques, helping them overcome any doubts and being a reliable source of support.

Belief

I recognize and appreciate the unique strengths and capabilities of each of my clients. I regularly affirm their existing skills, resilience, and progress to help them make positive changes in their lives. During my sessions, I incorporate practices like meditation and prayer to promote emotional and mental well-being. I encourage my clients to reflect on scripture that resonates with them each week, and help them gain insights into their values, purpose, and the meaning of life. Drawing on faith, I provide guidance on how to navigate challenges, make decisions, and overcome difficult situations. I encourage hope, trust, and positive action, which helps my clients to strengthen their beliefs and build resilience.

Positivity

I assist my clients in focusing on opportunities for growth and finding solutions to problems. I help them identify negative self-talk and replace it with constructive self-talk. Additionally, I encourage them to practice gratitude and mindfulness daily to appreciate the positive moments throughout their day. We celebrate all successes, no matter how small, and use them as stepping stones towards achieving their goals. I always lead by example by demonstrating a positive attitude and showing resilience.
